Shoplifter steals seven pairs of boots from Cirencester shoe store

Police are appealing for information after a shoplifter stole seven pairs of boots from a store in Cirencester yesterday.

The theft happened between 2.50pm and 3.20pm at a shop on Farrell Close.

The offender walked into the shop and then left, returning 15 minutes later, only to leave again - but this time with seven pairs of faux-leather boots worth £19.99 each, for which he failed to pay.

The male offender was wearing a green jacket and carrying a blue 'Tesco Bag for Life' plastic carrier bag with red poppies on the side.

Anyone with information which they think may help the police investigation should call 101 quoting incident 237 of February 11.

Alternatively, information can be given anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, or via the charity's website.

In some cases Crimestoppers may offer a reward of up to £1,000 where information leads to a conviction.
